A sister site of Kitelife Magazine, the LearnKites.com web site is an educational tool created for the express purpose of making essential sport kite video tutorials readily available to both hard core fliers and the general public… The tutorials you’ll find here are very casual in nature but generally VERY detailed and specialized, so that viewers can learn at a comfortable, yet efficient speed.

• Most of the outdoor video tutorials feature picture-in-picture (PIP) video, allowing you to see both kite and hands at work.

• The videos typically use B-Series Revolutions, Indoor Revs or the Kymera, but the instructions will translate to just about any dual or quad line kite.

I find it a bit scary that I just spent 10 minutes watching a video on winding and unwinding lines. Still deciding if I should admit I liked it. I’m definitely not going to admit I learned something. Now if I can just avoid hitting Enter by accident no one need ever know.

While some of the videos will feature other fliers at various times, the primary instructor is John Barresi, multi-time national champion (dual/quad line), leader of Team iQuad and owner/editor of Kitelife Magazine.

I really enjoy flying anything with more than one line on it, and sometimes just one… End of the day though, one of the most enjoyable aspects of kiting that I’ve experienced over the past several years has been getting more knowledge and information out there to fliers, watching them spread their wings and find some of the same joy I’ve found in the pastime.
